Yes, OptomDirect e-commerce sites can run on a subdomain of your practice website, it’s a custom-add-on available upon request. This is part of our “White Label” service so that you can operate freely under your own domain name with Google indexing SEO benefits. The annual cost for a White Label setup is $999.

Our pricing is tiered to allow for low-cost access. Monthly pricing starts from $49/month with Customer Service and Shop Assistance add-ons of $99/month. We recommend purchasing our annual plans to access the additional near 20% discount.

There is a full Demo site for you to run through simulations of the Patient Experience. Enrolment in the program is month-to-month via pre-authorized Credit Card and can be put on hold or cancelled at any time. Our approach is a flexible one to allow you time to experience the benefits over time without over-investing.

Yes, this is an important feature to be able to set up new products easily. Fortunately, we have a Frame Import Service to help you get the products you are currently stocking listed online with accurate information and imagery. We encourage practices to think carefully about which frames to list online as most shops do better focusing on promoting a limited range rather than “Infinite Inventory” that frame suppliers may propose as this can be overwhelming for the consumer shopping experience.

With OptomDirect running WooCommerce there are NO Transaction fees based on your sales. This is a big reason why we don’t recommend Shopify. If you chose to take credit card payments online via the industry-standard and recommended provider Stripe, then you will be subject to their fee structure which is very reasonable had has been a stable provider for over 10 years.

We have country-level servers in our markets served (United States, Canada, Australasia) to comply with any data sovereignty policies which may be in place from industry advisory groups. We understand the importance of maintaining a limited lifespan of data concerning any patient transaction or personal details. For any practices that wish to take full control and self-host their own e-commerce solution on their own servers, we have this option available upon request. Effectively you could self-manage your own e-commerce solution after the initial setup if desired.

Ultimately, the scope of our e-commerce shop solution does not store personal information or patient data, unless the patient consents to do so. Site visitors can browse as guests and check out with all order details passed through to the practice via email. Your shop manager portal will keep a historical record of orders for your convenience which can be automatically purged over time.
